Ready to find out more about the MyEarth Search and Retrieval Tool? The MyEarth Search and Retrieval Tool includes a powerful Ingest Engine (IE) which currently accepts hdf4 and ESRI shapefiles and performs single instance ingest and bulk ingest of user data and accompanying browse images from anywhere accessible from localhost. Any data sets previously obtained from the data provider or recently downloaded from the Internet can be loaded into MyEarth, provided it is of the prescribed filetype. Data is organized spatially and temporally and is archived via a spatial search engine (SSE) database. It may then be retrieved directly on to a Virtual Globe (VG) Visualization System, such as Google Earth.Users may define a Region of Interest (ROI) by direct manipulation within the VG and those data sets matching the search criteria are displayed instantaneously within the VG, hence increasing the efficiency of data analysis workflow dramatically. The Spatial Search Engine (SSEā¢) provides the workhorse for the spatial query allowing users to focus on a region of interest, by manipulating the ROI directly within the VG, and allowing them to concentrate on the data analysis problem without the need to reformat the data at the time of query retrieval.
